Common expressions
I prefer to pay by credit card than by debit card. With credit cards you don't have to pay till the end of the month, but with debit cards, the money comes out of your account straightaway.
Do you know that it's much cheaper to make international calls if you use a phone card?
We exchanged business cards at the beginning of the meeting.
We have to show our identity cards to the guard at the gate when we arrive in the morning.
I've always carried a donor card. I like to think that if I die in an accident, my heart and other organs will be userul to someone else.
Note
We send cards to each other on special occasions:
I must remember to send Carol a birthday card. She's 30 next month.
Thank you for the card. It was really nice of you to remember!
